Data processed

When the website is visited, technical data necessary to deliver and secure the service may be processed, such as IP address, date and time, requested resource, browser, device and operating system information, referrer, approximate geographic area and performance data.

Contact details and the content of messages are also processed when a visitor voluntarily contacts Maicestina by email, WhatsApp or Instagram. Providing this information is optional; however, without the details needed to communicate, Maicestina may be unable to reply to the request.

Purposes and legal basis

Technical data is processed to operate, protect and monitor the website and to prevent abuse. Data supplied voluntarily is used to answer requests and to take any requested commercial or pre-contractual steps. Processing is based, as applicable, on the performance of requested pre-contractual measures, the controller’s legitimate interest in operating and securing the website, and compliance with legal obligations. Aggregate statistics produced through Cloudflare Web Analytics are used on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website’s operation and performance, through a tool designed not to identify individual visitors.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and performs. It is not used for behavioural advertising or remarketing and is designed to operate without cookies. The service may process aggregate statistics relating to page views, approximate geographic origin, referrer, device and browser, as well as website performance data.

Infrastructure and service providers

Cloudflare provides the website’s technical infrastructure, delivery, security and analytics services and may process technical data on behalf of Maicestina. When a visitor chooses to use WhatsApp or Instagram, data is also processed by the respective platform provider under its own terms and privacy information. Data may also be disclosed to technical or professional providers where necessary, or to public authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, Cloudflare makes available the Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses as transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Retention

Contact data is retained only for the time needed to handle the request and comply with any legal obligations. Messages handled through external platforms are also subject to the retention rules of the chosen service. Cloudflare states that unsampled Web Analytics beacon data is retained for 7 days and subsequently aggregated. Any other technical data relating to Cloudflare infrastructure is retained separately, according to the applicable settings and policies.

Cookies and tracking tools

The website code does not install advertising, profiling or remarketing cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to work without cookies, while Cloudflare may use technical mechanisms strictly necessary to deliver and protect the service. If the services or configuration change, this information and the need for a consent mechanism will be reviewed.

Automated decision-making

Maicestina does not use data collected through the website for automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights

Where provided by the GDPR and applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing. Requests may be sent to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority; in Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
